Blue/White Class Schedule continues through Sept. 18
Bishop Chatard will continue operating under its hybrid Blue/White class schedule for an additional two weeks, through Friday, Sept. 18, with the goal of returning to a full in-person learning schedule on Monday, Sept. 21. You can view the Blue/White daily schedule here.

The goal of providing the strongest academic program in the safest environment possible is the driving force in our decision-making process. BCHS will continue to work with the Office of Catholic Schools, Marion County Public Health Department and the Indiana Department of Education to determine our next steps, and we will keep school parents apprised of decisions as soon as possible.
Freshman Parent Meeting: September 10
Blue Group: 6:30 p.m.; White Group: 7:30 p.m.
A back-to-school meeting for Freshman parents will be held on September 10. Parents are asked to attend the meeting at the time designated for the Blue or White group that their freshman is assigned to. An email detailing information about the meeting including discussion points, the schedule for the two groups, and other details was sent to freshman parents on August 28. Click here to learn more and to read the email.

Center for Leadership Development 2020
An amazing community-based organization in Indianapolis, the Center for Leadership Development, has incredible opportunities set up to help students be successful and capitalize on networking opportunities. BCHS has had several students receive full-tuition scholarships to colleges and universities through their Emerging Scholars Program. Sophomores through Seniors are eligible to register now for Self-Discovery, which is required before participating in Emerging Scholars. Please consider taking part in this if you are able. There are also other programs available for younger students. Visit cldinc.org for information and Visit the Enrichment and Leadership Area on the BCHS counseling website for more opportunities, gathered by the BCHS Counseling Department.

Learn more about the program at http://www.centralindianaexploring.org/. Bishop Chatard students are asked to complete the Exploring - Discover Your Future survey found in the School Counseling Canvas course by Sept 4.

News Worth Repeating
Cafeteria News for the 2020/2021 School Year
Bishop Chatard participates in the National School Lunch Program which provides free or reduced-priced breakfast and lunch to those students who qualify. Any parent who believes a student may qualify for this program and other benefits it offers, such as textbook assistance, may apply. A new application must be completed each year to be included in the program. If your situation changes, applications can be made at any time throughout the school year. If a student qualifies for free/reduced lunches, he/she automatically qualifies for textbook assistance.

Menus are now posted for the school year. Look for new payment procedures with customer barcodes as we switch to touchless pay stations. (Cash/Check payments will still be accepted via a dropbox in the Cafeteria Office (bottom floor, Door #10)). Parents can add funds to students MyMealTime account for the school year.

Click here for more information. Contact Michael Dlugosz at mdlugosz@bishopchatard.org with any questions.
