Nominations & Resolutions for Diocesan Convention Now Open

We’re pleased to announce that with Diocesan Convention scheduled for Saturday, February 13th, we are now open to receive nominations for leadership positions to be elected at Convention and resolutions to be considered at Diocesan Convention. Additional details will be announced in the days to come, and then posted on our Diocesan website, but for now we are happy to share that nominations and resolutions will be received until Friday, January 29th. For now, and until further details are announced, these can be submitted to Hannah Jarman via email.

Please note: The deadline of January 29th is firm and final. As a consequence of hosting our Convention online this year, we will not be able to accept nominations or resolutions after that date.

Nominations are welcomed for the following elected positions:
  • One lay and one clergy position on the Standing Committee
  • One lay and one clergy position on the Disciplinary Board
  • One lay position as a Trustee with the University of the South

Other positions for election this year will be at the nomination of the Bishop or the Deaneries of the Diocese.

Reminders
If you've viewed the home page on our diocesan website recently, you may have noticed this map beneath the "Find a Church" header. This is the Episcopal Asset Map.

The Asset Map is now used by The Episcopal Church, Episcopal Relief & Development, and the Diocese of East Carolina. Each parish in our diocese has page of its own on the Asset Map. If you have not yet taken the time to check out the Asset Map or your parish's page, you can do so here.

If you notice that service times, contact information, photos, or any other content is out of date, there's an easy way to suggest changes. Click on the text that says, "update this place," make any recommended changes, and once you submit them, Lindsey Harts will review them and approve changes accordingly.
