Understanding the New Executive Order
Thank you for your patience as the Governor works to ensure our safety while reengaging the community with guidance from healthcare professionals. There are many changes in place (and coming soon) following the Governor's new Executive Order. Please see the information below to help decipher these changes and understand what will be opening soon and what remains closed.

Stay Home Order
The stay-at-home order has now been lifted. Please remember to continue to maintain six feet of distance from one another.

Restaurants
Restaurants and bars may re-open for dine-in service at 50% capacity effective Monday, June 8th. Find contact information at www.AllinBirmingham.com/dine .

Retailers
Retailers can reopen to customers without an appointment on Thursday, June 4th, with capacity limits. Find contact information at www.AllinBirmingham.com/shop .

Libraries & Museums
Libraries and museums may open on Monday, June 8th, subject to capacity rules. As these operations prepare to reopen, please contact them for opening information. Birmingham Museum - (248) 530-1928; Baldwin Public Library - (248) 647-1700.

Outdoor Crowds
The new order allows outdoor crowds of up to 100 people with social distancing. Indoor gatherings are still limited to 10 people.

Day Camps & Outdoor Public Swimming Pools
Day camps for children and outdoor public swimming pools, with reduced capacity, can open on Monday, June 8th. Indoor pools must remain closed.

Gyms & Fitness Centers
Gyms and fitness centers can offer outdoor-only activities such as classes and training sessions as long as participants, coaches and spectators stay six feet apart.

Closed
Businesses and activities that involve close contact and shared surfaces, including gyms, hair and nail salons, indoor theaters, and similar establishments, will remain closed for the time
being.

Outdoor Recreational Facilities
Birmingham's Golf Courses
Lincoln Hills Golf Course and Springdale Golf Course are open from 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. daily with a ‘Park & Play’ model. Tee times are required. Learn more at www.golfbirmingham.org .

Birmingham Tennis Courts
Tennis courts are open. Birmingham basketball courts remain closed. Hand sanitizer stations are in place at all City parks and at the tennis courts.

Lincoln Hills Dog Park
The Lincoln Hills Dog Park is open, with a 10 person maximum in the park, and a two dog maximum per dog owner. All dogs must be wearing tags and all owners must abide by dog park rules and City of Birmingham ordinances. Playgrounds
Playgrounds remain closed, per the Oakland County Health Order .
City Services Continue
City offices continue to service the public, however the Municipal Building and Department of Public Services remain closed as we prepare to engage with the public. Forms and payments may be submitted 24/7 via the drop box located behind City Hall. As part of the City's operational relief efforts, all City forms, applications and payment submissions will soon be available online. Stay tuned for an update regarding this virtual service coming soon.

We're Still Here with COVID-19 Resources
COVID-19 Hotline
Residents may use the City's COVID-19 hotline for information about City and County COVID-19 resources by calling 248-530-1805 Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. To assist the elderly, quarantined and immunocompromised individuals, the hotline can be used for services such as bringing refuse containers to and from the curb, welfare checks or delivery of batteries, first-aid items, diapers, formula, etc.

COVID-19 Webpage
Visit the City’s COVID-19 webpage at www.bhamgov.org/virusprevention for a plethora of information from trusted resources such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the State of Michigan, the Oakland County Health Division and more. City officials are working to gather as much information as possible to assist the community in fighting and responding to the COVID-19 virus. The site also lists community resources for parents and seniors, crisis hotlines, places of worship offering support services and more.

Citywide Email System
During the ‘Stay Home Stay Safe’ order it is even more important to remain connected to our community. Birmingham residents are strongly encouraged to sign-up for the citywide email system at www.bhamgov.org/citywideemail . Subscribers receive weekly messages from the Mayor with the latest updates pertaining to COVID-19. The email service allows the City to target specific neighborhoods for messaging and keep everyone updated on what’s happening in this rapidly changing environment.
