YES on California Prop 31:

Flavored Tobacco Products Ban Referendum

Thanks to tempting candy flavors, every day nearly 8,000 kids try an e-cigarette for the first time, often without knowing that addictive nicotine is inside. JUUL, Philip Morris, and R.J. Reynolds have spent millions of dollars delaying and hoping to block a 2020 California landmark law to protect kids by ending the sale of candy-flavored tobacco. We recommend voting YES on 31 in the upcoming November election to uphold this life-saving law. Learn more and join the fight at https://voteyeson31.com.

Bivalent booster for Santa Clara County residents ages 5+

Only 12% of eligible Santa Clara County residents have updated, bivalent booster so far. This vaccine targets both the original COVID virus and the Omicron BA.5 variant. Local health officials anticipate another winter spike in COVID-19 infections, so it is important to keep your vaccinations up to date to keep yourself, your family, and your community safe. Book an appointment for your vaccination here.

Helping Children with Asthma

We would like to thank El Camino Health for supporting our Children's Asthma Services programs with a 1-year grant. Asthma is the number one chronic cause of school absenteeism and the 3rd leading cause of hospitalization among children each year. 14% of all children in California suffer from asthma! Our program activities will include asthma management education for children in elementary and middle school; asthma training for nurses, health workers, childcare providers, and parents; Asthma Home Visits and environmental assessments; and supplying lung screenings, respiratory therapy equipment, and supplies for clients without adequate insurance coverage.  Learn more about all our Asthma Services.
