MEDICAID EXPANSION WOULD EASE
COVID-19 SUFFERING
"We cannot destroy this virus, but we can ensure that we take care of our people. That is why I am continuing to urge my colleagues in the State Senate to keep our most vulnerable in their mind and expand Medicaid. Amid the outbreak, expanding Medicaid would give those recently unemployed, as well as the uninsured and underinsured, access to quality and affordable health care."
HONORING FORMER SENATOR TONY RAND
"Tony wanted to be in the room where it happened, and he was for many years. I know our state is better because of his work in the legislature."
On June 24 the NC Senate passed a proclamation honoring the life and legacy of Senator Tony Rand. Thank you to his family and close friends who attended the ceremony, and to my colleagues who took time to honor him.
