Special Guests at UMD's SECU Stadium

LHC alumni (and friends of LHC) spent an enjoyable afternoon watching the Terps bring home a win at the recent November 26 UMD v. Rutgers football game. Special thanks to DeNae Dutton, LP '22, and SECU for hosting us!

Spreading the Holiday Spirit With CAC & LHC

'Tis the season to celebrate and spread joy! LHC cordially invites you to join us for our General Membership Breakfast on Friday, December 16 from 8 to 10 am to do just that. We are excited to hear from our featured speaker, Tracy Broccolino, President of the Community Action Council (CAC), share how CAC is growing, changing, and engaging! We are also thrilled to be helping to support their Adopt-A-Student (classroom) Holiday Gift Drive.

There's still time to rally your fellow LP classmates, friends, and family to help bring joy to children in need that attend Old Cedar Lane School! You may click here to be directed to a google form that lists gift sizes and preferences - members are requested to indicate on the google form which gift(s) you are able to provide by Monday, December 5, as LHC will inform CAC about any donation gaps to ensure that all the children on the list are provided for.

LHC will then be collecting these UNWRAPPED items and place them in pre-labeled bag(s) with each student's name during our event on the 16th; CAC will, in turn, distribute donations to the children's families. If you are unable to attend the event on the 16th but still want to give, your donations may be delivered to the LHC offices, located at 6760 Alexander Bell Drive, Suite 260 – Columbia, MD 21046 on Monday, December 5, Wednesday, December 7, or Tuesday, December 13 – from 10 am to 4 pm each day (please email Karen Bryant in advance to be sure staff will be in the office).

Hope to see you there and thank you in advance for your support of this fantastic cause!

Register to join current LP '23 class members on Friday, December 9 from 1 to 3 pm, as they travel to the African Art Museum of Maryland (AAMM). The AAMM, located in the heart of Columbia in the Long Reach Village Center - 5 Cloudleap Court, Suite 12, Columbia, MD, was founded in 1980 and is only one of three museums in the USA devoted exclusively to the art of Africa.
