Happy Birthday Triangle, Inc.!
Triangle, Inc. turns 50! Triangle has served the disability population in the Malden area for 50 years. Founded in part by Malden business owners, the good work of Triangle depends on our support—both with donations and participation. To mark this milestone, Triangle has launched the 50th Anniversary Legacy Fund. More about this history of Triangle and its impact on Malden will be in future newsletters.

Malden Square Memories
Long term member of the Malden Chamber of Commerce and now part of our Honorary Board of Directors, Arthur Kahn, has written an article to bring the reader back in time. Arthur, the owner of the family run business, The Malden Jewelry Store, makes you feel the energy of the vibrant business community. To read and reminisce, click here.
We are always looking to add new members to the
Chamber of Commerce.
We are having a prospective member virtual event on June 10th from 5 pm-6:30 pm. Join us, and encourage those businesses who have not yet joined the Chamber, to learn how the Chamber helps you grow your business. Remember, for every member successfully referred by a current member, that member will receive a $50 credit on the next dues bill.
A Summer of Events
The City of Malden has received a grant to help the local economy recover from the devastation of the pandemic. To start this process, the City, along with the Chamber and the MRA, is organizing a summer of events. For eight Saturdays in June, July and August, various attractions will dot the Malden Center area. From car shows, to gaming nights, musical performances, and art demonstrations and displays, these eight days are designed to draw people to the center of the City. Naturally, all rules outlined by the State regarding size of crowds and social distancing will be observed. More to come!

SCORE
Our SCORE volunteer is still offering free business consulting services to the Malden Chamber of Commerce members. This valuable service is offered five days per week via Zoom.
  • Both clients and mentors are much safer from the virus by everyone being at home.
  • Everyone can still be seen and communicate easily
  • With the new 5 day/week availability, we make it easier for the clients to meet on their schedule. And we can see more clients more often.
  • Clients save time by no longer having to drive to Century Bank in Malden
  • We have been thoroughly briefed on the new Federal Small Business Assistance Programs
  • With Zoom, it is easy for both clients and mentors to share online documents
To set up an appointment, please call Dennis Assad at 617-901-5373
