Community Outreach Updates
JPS Health Network established a partnership with the Tarrant Area Food Bank to bring the RED Bus to several JPS locations. The purpose of the RED Bus is to provide resource assistance and nutrition education to families experiencing food insecurity.

JPS Hosts Groundbreaking Ceremony for New Psychiatric Emergency Center | Phase I of the JPS Bond Program is officially underway. JPS Health Network hosted a groundbreaking ceremony on Wednesday, October 26, for the new Psychiatric Emergency Center (PEC) designed to treat patients experiencing mental health crisis. The facility is part of the JPS Bond Program project plan for expansion and renovation to modernize the JPS campus. | | | |
World AIDS Day is observed on December 1 each year. It is a day of solidarity for people around the world who are affected by HIV. This is a day for voices to unite by sharing experiences, remembering those lost, and standing together in the fight against HIV.
At the JPS Healing Wings Outpatient Center, our goal is to provide high quality HIV/AIDS care to our patients in a calm, comfortable and welcoming environment. We strive to make sure you have the medical and emotional support you need in our newly renovated, state-of-the-art outpatient center, located just north of John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth.

HSC and Remote Area Medical – RAM® — a major nonprofit provider of pop-up clinics delivering free, quality, dental, vision, and medical care to underserved and uninsured individuals — is bringing a free clinic to the DFW area, on December 3 - 4, 2022.
The free clinic will provide dental, vision, and medical services to patients on a first-come, first-served basis. Services begin at 6 a.m. All RAM services are free and no ID is required.

Those needing COVID-19 testing or vaccines can visit tarrantcounty.com to find a location nearest you.

CDC recommends that people ages 5 years and older get one updated (bivalent) booster that protects against the original COVID-19 variant and the new variants if it has been at least two months since their last COVID-19 vaccine dose.
People who have gotten more than one original (monovalent) booster that only protects against the original COVID-19 variant are also recommended to get an updated (bivalent) booster to get protection from new variants also.
