Please join us in Patterson TONIGHT for dinner and our annual December Eve Service! Dinner will be served at 5:45, followed by the program from 6:30-7:30. Our very own St. Giles children will be leading the service as we decorate the Chrismon tree this year, so you won't want to miss it!

If you did not sign up for a dinner, you are still welcome to join us for the program portion at 6:30.

Come join us this second week of Advent as our choir performs their Christmas Cantata during the combined service, entitled: “Emmanuel, God with Us!” We will have our normal rhythms of praise and worship, candle devotionals, and prayer while the Cantata will act as our message, emphasizing the theme of Isaiah 9:2, 6-7. 

For the entire Advent season we are calling all St. Giles members for our Community Choir! This is a great, low-time commitment opportunity for folks who love to sing and want to help make a joyful noise. If you want to participate, plan to arrive in the chancel at 10:00 AM to rehearse for our 10:30 worship time on any of these dates: 11/27, 12/11, 12/18, 12/25, and January 1, 2023. The Community Choir will not meet on 12/4.

Tuesday, December 13th at 10:00 am, the women's fellowship will be joined by Tina Ramirez. She will be sharing information regarding her nonprofit Hardwired. Thursday, Dec 1st, is not the first day of Christmas, but it is the fifth day of Advent! You are invited to come to book club (in the parlor) on December 1. Members will share Christmas stories, poems, and memories – a sweet way to prepare our hearts for Christmas. Lunch will follow the meeting for those whose schedule allows.

Looking ahead, Waymaker by Ann Boskamp will be the book discussed in January.

We are in desperate need of a few more servers for Wednesday Night dinners. At present, we have a skeleton crew who have been working hard but need some relief. Just having one more team would be extremely helpful especially when one of the servers needs a switch. Even if you do not attend the Wednesday Night dinner, serving is an opportunity to meet others in the church and it gives you a feeling of belonging. Also, it only involves 30 to 45 minutes of your time every four of five weeks. Please consider signing up for this fun task. Make Studio is seeking donations of items for our Christmas Open House for our friends in recovery, to be held December 12. We will be providing snacks and hot chocolate, as well as a chance to make a gift to GIVE, something to KEEP and something to BLESS someone else. We are excited to offer a chance to continue sharing the love of Christ in such a tangible way. Please consider donating the following items to the studio before December 8, 2022:

If you have any empty laundry detergent jugs, please consider donating them to MAKE for craft supplies.

We only have 19 Sundays covered so far for 2023. Please sign up to supply refreshments in 2023. Since I get Panera bread donations, I only need people to cover the fruit. Some may choose to purchase the fruit themselves and others may choose to give me $15 per the number of weeks they want. You don’t have to give that to me now, just before your week comes up in 2023.
