Talking to Your Teens and Tweens about Suicide
Dear Walkers,
Thank you to those of you who joined us live for our English-language December 2020 virtual Walk with a Doc!
For the December 13, 2020 walk, we welcomed Dr. Lisa Durette, Program Director of the Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at UNLV School of Medicine, who gave a brief presentation on talking to your teens and tweens about suicide and then took questions live.
Our guest speaker, Dr. Durette, shared a brochure and several flyers about the many resources available to families at the UNLV Practice in Las Vegas. Click on the images to download a PDF or learn more on the UNLV Practice website by clicking here.

For over 4 years, the Nevada Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (Nevada AAP) has led in-person Walk with a Doc events to encourage families to learn about pediatric health topics and then go for a walk with doctors in our community. Starting in April 2020, the Nevada AAP temporarily changed our monthly in-person Walk with a Doc events for the Las Vegas and Reno communities into one, state-wide virtual event the second Sunday of every month.
