June 2020
Newsletter
June is here and we're still missing our friends but things are looking up. I can't thank you all enough for the support you've given TLC.

June is usually full of special events revolving around graduation, but we still have fun events planned for all of the children returning this month.

The themes this month revolve around Eric Carle books. We'll even have our annual Hungry Caterpillar Tasting Party! We have a caterpillar being delivered and we set up a garden! The kids always have so much fun with this. When we read Pancakes, Pancakes, Pancakes we will be making pancakes. Of course we won't forget about the Dads with some fun Father's Day crafts.

Please be sure to read below regarding camp and July return. We opened up our school-aged camp to 10 year olds.

Thank you again for your support. I hope to spend a fun summer with all of your children.

Summer Camp and July Return
If you haven't done so already, please let me know via email if your child will be attending camp this summer. With camps closing this summer, spots are almost full. Registration forms can be found below to be completed and returned but please email me to save your spot.

If your child will return in July, please let me know via email. This way I can prepare and alert my teachers.

I need to know your plans for camp and a July return by this Friday, June 5.
Graduation Information
We will have a photographer to take graduation photos by appointment only. Please email me to set up a time.

We will hold a graduation parade at Brookside on Friday, June 10 at 4:30pm. Parents can set up "tailgate style". If it calls for rain, we will change the day that week.
Very Hungry Caterpillar Tasting Party
On Thursday, June 4, we will have our annual Very Hungry Caterpillar Tasting Party! The kids will be able to try all the food our little friend ate in the book. We will limit foods for children with allergies. Parents are welcome to send in substitutes.
Clothing
Socks and sneakers are BEST for the playground. NO OPEN TOE shoes please!

Please replace your child's clothing when it is sent home, especially if they are being potty trained. Children should ALWAYS have 2-3 sets of clothing at TLC.

Now is a good time to change spring clothing to summer clothing.
Sunscreen
With the warmer weather, we ask that you please apply sunscreen each morning. If you want us to re-apply, please complete the form below and return it with sunscreen for your child.
Medicals
Updated forms are needed at the following dates: 3-6-9-12-18 months &
2-3-4-5 years.

You will be reminded as your child's birthday or medical expires.
Please use TLC's form every time.
Medications can be administered with proper doctor's permission and medication that matches. For example: we cannot administer Tylenol if your doctor specified Motrin. It is VERY specific.

All medication must be provided in its original packaging including the cup/syringe. This will ensure proper dispensing of the dose.

If you want medication to be given to your child to manage pain, or if your child has allergies and they require medication, please speak to an MAT trained teacher to check in your forms/medicines.

This Month's Menu
The latest menus can be found on our website.

Please bring in an alternative if your child does not eat what is on the menu. For children under 18 months, please continue to bring in yogurt, fruits/vegetables, and infant snacks. Some of the snacks are not appropriate for their age group and we don’t always have alternatives.

PLEASE LABEL ALL FOOD ITEMS.

As a reminder, breakfast is over by 8:40am. Children should be in by 8:30am if you want them to be fed breakfast.
