The District Leadership Team met last week for their annual summer retreat.  This year's retreat included a hybrid approach with some members meeting in person while others attended remotely.  This gave the team great experience in the challenges and opportunities with remote learning!

District News:
Remote Learning Opportunities For Fall:
Emporia Schools plans to provide a remote learning experience for families who have a student or family member who is medically fragile and potentially for families who have a safety concern with returning to school.  Right now, we know that a remote learning experience will most likely include:  daily teacher and student check-in, daily attendance requirements, completing class assignments and assessments, and parent involvement.  If this is something you or someone you know would like more information about, please contact us by emailing [email protected] . and provide your students' name/s, school, and grade level. This will help us as we further develop our remote learning plan.  Once we have more information available it will be shared with our district families.

Enrollment for the 2020-2021 school year opens online Monday, July 20:
Enrollment can be completed from any location with internet access on your students' district-issued Chromebook or any other device as long as it is submitted on or before August 5.
For the safety and well-being of our staff and district families, parents/guardians are strongly encouraged to enroll their students online.  A limited number of appointments will be available at the Flint Hills Learning Center, 1624 Industrial Rd, located at the Flinthills Mall for those who do not have a computer, access to the internet, or need enrollment assistance.
