Friend,
As I've been traveling around our district over the past few weeks, I've heard from many Iowans about issues they are experiencing with federal agencies. I want to be sure you are aware of some of the ways my team can be of service to help you navigate the federal bureaucracy and cut through problematic red tape. From helping folks with the Internal Revenue Services (IRS), the Social Security Administration (SSA), the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), and even with issues obtaining passports or visas--my team stands ready to help. For example:
- I was overjoyed when our team successfully recovered almost $10,000 in lost VA benefits for a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who had sustained several injuries while serving our country overseas.
- Our team worked with United States Citizenship and Immigration Services to help one of our constituents solve an issue with her application to renew her Green Card, ensuring that she would be able to legally stay in Iowa with her family and apply for citizenship in 3 years.
- We helped an Iowan navigate a complicated, bureaucratic process with the Social Security Administration, and she was finally able to receive her missing benefits after three years of waiting.
These are just a few examples of ways our team has successfully advocated for Iowans at the federal level. If you're getting a dial-tone when trying to reach someone, don't know who to talk to about problem, or have any issue with a federal agency, we are here to answer your questions.
I am in the business of customer service, and my team and I are here to help and advocate for you. Please visit or reach out to any of my district offices in Cedar Rapids, Dubuque, and Waterloo with any questions or to learn more about how we can serve you and your families.
