Giving Tree

Our annual Giving Tree partnership with the Child Protection & Permanency Unit (formerly named the Truancy Initiative) is going virtual! Our virtual Giving Tree lists children's names, ages, sizes, and gift wishes. Many of the children are in the foster care system. We've included the child's race so you can choose toys and gifts that might represent them best (especially dolls and figurines). It is up to you which, or how many, gifts to provide. Please bring your wrapped gifts labeled with the child's name and case worker's initials and drop them off in the church parking lot on Sunday, December 11 between 11-12 pm. Please remember to label all the gifts for your child so they’re sure to get to the correct family.Visit our Sign Up Genius page to provide gifts this year. Thank you for helping make the holidays special for more than 60 St. Louis youth.

Upcoming Worship Services

Pastor Mia intends to rejoin us for worship on Sunday December 11. We are grateful for FCC members who will be leading worship in the coming weeks. This week, November 27, Valerie Jackson will be our preacher, and on December 4 Rev. Marty Black will preach and preside over communion.

2023 Stewardship

Thank you to those who have turned in your pledge cards as we dream God's dream together! We are still accepting them if you'd like to make a financial commitment to First Congregational Church in 2023. We have extra pledge cards at the church, and you can also download one HERE.

Advent Worship

Sundays beginning November 27 at 10:00 AM

Our theme for the season of Advent is Those Who Dream. What does it look like to live as those who dream? The prophets, the psalmists, John the Baptist, Mary, Elizabeth, Joseph, Simeon, Anna, the shepherds and the Magi—they were all dreamers. They received, discovered, and responded to God’s dreams for the world. In Advent, we step into the mystery and awe of God’s dreams and pray they shape our reality.

This season is for the dreamers in all of us—those who dream of a deeper connection with God and those who dream of a better world. It’s for those who dream of comfort and for those who have given up on their dreams. It’s for those whose dreams have been crushed and for those who show us that dreams take time. Join us this Advent as we dream alongside prophets and angels, Mary and the Magi. Join us as we seek and sow God’s dreams for our world.

Share the Gift of Christmas

As you prepare your list this Advent & Christmas season, please remember the giving opportunities at FCC. Please send your gifts by December 12 to be included in the December 18 and Christmas Eve worship bulletins. Make all checks payable to First Congregational Church with the designation in the memo. You may also give online HERE.

You can fill out the Share the Gift of Christmas form online with the button below or at church on Sunday.
