It is an exciting time as we celebrate a huge milestone! 79% of Santa Clara County residents 12+ have received at least one vaccine dose and 69.3% have completed vaccinated. And, as of Tuesday, California has officially reopened following more than a year of restrictions due to COVID-19. That means most businesses can now operate at full capacity and vaccinated individuals can remove their masks and forgo social distancing except on public transit, indoors at schools and childcare facilities, health care settings, prisons, homeless shelters, emergency shelters and cooling centers, and at some private businesses. We look forward to seeing everyone's faces in person soon!

The Silicon Valley Central Chamber of Commerce (SVC Chamber) has established a Workforce Development Committee (WDC) to help connect local students to local businesses, and we need your help.

This year we have several award-winning high school business students that are in need of an internship. We are asking our Members if you could provide 20 to 40 hours of real work experience for these young future leaders. The internships you provide could be either in-person or remote, paid or unpaid. We just ask that the work is meaningful and educational in nature. Please show support for your local community by connecting our future leaders with homegrown opportunities.

For more information, or to get involved, please contact the SVC Chamber Officer Manger, Domarina Ebrahimi at 408-244-8244 or domarina.ebrahimi@svcentralchamber.com.
