BRAVOS!

Madison Ritsch (Class of 2019) was selected as a recipient of the Lockheed Martin STEM scholarship. This scholarship aims to provide support for female students, students of color, and students of other diverse backgrounds in order to pursue their degrees in various STEM fields. Previous PLTW students are given priority consideration as Lockheed Martin has supported and promoted the growth of PLTW classes since 2007.  Madison is a current aerospace engineering student at CU Boulder. She hopes to be selected for an internship with Lockheed Martin next summer. Currently, her passion and focus is in missiles and air defense.  She is so honored and thrilled to have been given this award and hopes to make Lockheed Martin, CU Boulder, and Vail Christian High School proud through her studies.

SPORTS

GO SAINTS! We are excited to announce that our Intramural Sports Program has started. Please CLICK HERE for detailed information.  All students participating in sports for the '20-'21 school year are required to have a physical form on file with the Athletic Director on or before the first day of practice. Students will not be allowed to participate without a physical form signed by a medical doctor. Congratulations (AGAIN!) to Connor Downey for the win at Eagle Ranch with a score of 73!

COUNSELOR'S CORNER - Mrs. Hixon

Students; In the midst of these virtual times, the US Air Force Academy has coordinated with all of the Service Academies, Congressional Staffers for Colorado and ROTC programs, and scheduled a virtual information night on September 15th. CLICK HERE for the flyer for the event, with a registration link for the Zoom meeting. NROTC Scholarship information may be viewed HERE, with a link to more detailed information and the opportunity to register for a NROTC Specific Information session that is held every Wednesday at 11am and 5pm. Also offered are Resume Writing Workshops, Interview Preparation Workshops, and Essay Writing Workshops.  If you are interested in attending any of the Academies or participating in ROTC please take advantage of the September 15th online event.
