Bloom at Kokomo
celebrated Ms. Fern Nash's milestone 100th birthday the best way we could during COVID-19.... with her own personal parade, visits from her family, lots of laughter and life-long memories!
Fern has resided at Bloom for nearly 4 years. Her family (4 daughters, 2 step-sons, multiple grandchildren, great grandchildren) along with other family and friends converged on Bloom at Kokomo with many doing a drive-by-parade to wish Fern a very Happy Birthday! The event took place from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM on Monday, July 6 with over 100 people paying tribute to Fern. Fern also enjoyed personal visits with Bloom's Memory Making Station making that possible! While it was a warm day, Fern was protected by the Memory Making Station, two fans and plenty of water and iced tea to keep her hydrated. While this was not the party the family had initially anticipated, (originally planned at Fern's church), had it not been for the Memory Making Station, the event would likely have been cancelled altogether. It proved to be a joyous, memorable day for Fern!
The Kokomo Prospective was here to do a story regarding Fern and we are anxious to see the publication on July 15th. Happy 100th Fern. We love you!
