UUCB Check-in: Safety and Engagement Questionnaire

Dearest Members and Friends of UUCB,

We miss you. We also know that many, if not all of you, have felt somewhat distanced from the congregation as a result of the pandemic.

While we have heard from a number of you through various channels, we want to reach out to discover how everyone is doing as we enter a new church year, beginning in September.

Our plans are to have a limited, in-person reopen on September 12 and your feedback through the following questionnaire will help us a great deal in moving toward reopening.

We will rely on your completion of the questionnaire to understand who we are as a congregation, as well as the wellbeing of each of you.

We look forward to hearing from you!

With well wishes and blessing,

Reverend Mary Ann Macklin
Senior Minister

Ann LeDuc
Connections Coordinator

Touching Ground: An Invitation
Have you missed being in our gathering space at church? You are invited to sign up to visit the sanctuary this coming week, to reconnect with our physical space after a prolonged absence. Through our visits, we hope to create a shared sacred installation reflecting on our experiences so far, both as individuals and as a congregation, with Covid.

The installation will be divided into the following sections, to which you are invited to add words, art work, or artifacts that do not need to be returned:

  • Things from before Covid that we’re glad to let go and don’t want to return to.
  • Things from before Covid that we hope to do again someday.
  • Things started during Covid that we hope to let go of someday.
  • Things started during Covid that we hope to continue to do into the future.

You are invited to sign up as an Individual, Family, or Pod (no more than one family or a pod of four people, whichever is greater) for a 30-minute time slot to come to the sanctuary, to reflect, perhaps to create art, and to add to the shared installation. Masks and social distancing are required. No more than two pods will be in the space at any given time. We hope to see you there! Click here to sign up.
