A Note from Your Camp Director
Dear Parents,
We would like to welcome you to Junior Camp! We hope you find this newsletter helpful, as it will give you in detail what lies ahead for the next week. We are so excited to have you this summer and while camp is going to look a bit different, we have many fun games and activities planned that will allow the kids to have a fun filled summer no matter what!
Camp will take place Monday through Friday from 9 am-3:30 pm at Glacier Ridge Elementary School. PLEASE NO EARLY BIRDS.
Important Notes:
  • The counselors will walk outside to sign in the campers at 8:50 am sharp.
  • We will be outside at the end of the day at 3:15 pm for sign out.
  • When you drop off/pick up your, you will stay in your car. A counselor will come up to you and have you sign in/out.
  • Campers will not be allowed to attend camp if they are exhibiting any symptoms of illness.
  • Please take your child's temperature at home before arriving in the morning. You will need to sign off that your child's temperature is normal before they are allowed leave the car.
Supplies needed for each day:
  • face mask (to be worn inside & transitions)
  • bathing suit (water activities daily)
  • towel (needed daily as we will be using it as a visual for social distancing during lunch)
  • sun screen
  • water bottle
  • completely DISPOSABLE peanut free lunch (no lunch boxes please)
Every Wednesday , the entire camp will walk over to Woodscreek Park in the morning to play at the splash pad and on the playground. Please arrive on time on Wednesdays so we can leave for the park as soon as possible. If you have any questions, please reach out to our Junior Camp cell phone 815-355-6593 (call or text). Please note, this phone is only monitored during normal camp hours. If you text/call after hours someone will return your call/message as soon as possible. Looking forward to an awesome summer!

  • Drop off/pick up will always be Glacier Ridge Elementary.
  • ET Camp is held at Glacier Ridge school daily
  • Do not exit your vehicles, staff will meet you in the drop off/pick up lane
  • Self monitor your child's temperature & health daily and report to camp staff
  • Please remember to send your child with a mask, a disposable lunch & drink
  • Please no peanut or tree nut products (we will call for a NUT FREE lunch)
  • Please remember to notify the camp counselor if your child will be picked up early or is going to be absent from camp.
  • Any medication must be brought to camp with the appropriate paperwork signed by the doctor and in its original container.
  • Send gym shoes, swimsuit, sunscreen, bug spray and water bottle everyday!
  • No electronics or toys are allowed at camp

Friday, Jul 17:
  • Wet n Wild Day!
  • Bring your swimsuit & towel!
  • Water games & sprinkler fun!
  • Sponge relay, water balloons, squirt bottle games
