Changing Lives...one dog at a time!
Hey Rescue Family!

It's been a busy month and we are running every day to keep up with our mission to effect change right here on our Island! During this time when we don't know what's happening next...we must stop and breathe as our animals need us to be there for them. We will continue the good fight to educate and change the minds of people in our community that haven't yet realized the value of the love of our canine companions and how to be a responsible pet owner. We will continue to be there for the animals, every day.....

In Rescue,

Kaloli Pupdate
Kaloli at Island Vet
Kaloli playing with Doc
Kaloli's happily ever after
Adopted: 6/23/2020
Kaloli was welcomed into AIR care on June 8, 2020 after being mauled by a large dog. He was quickly rushed to Island Vet upon taking him in. This poor boy had 3 portions of his intestine removed due to the horrific injury, along with a spleen puncture injury and abscess surgery. He returned to AIR to recover with a special diet, medications and close monitoring for post-op complications. A few days later, we discovered another internal abscess that burst and we returned to Island Vet. Once again, he was rushed back into surgery and returned for post-op recovery once again. Not too long later, his story and photos caught the attention of a previous adopter who was looking for a companion for his dog, Doc.

Upon meeting Kaloli, they decided that he was the perfect, new addition to their family. Doc is helping Kaloli recover and live his best life.

None of this would've been possible without your kind donations. These donations help us to pay for vet bills, which include: vet visits, medications, surgeries and all the things we need to keep our dogs healthy and happy while in our care.

Mac Nut Pupdate
Do you remember that water loving puppy, Mac Nut? His new family on Oahu absolutely adores him. They even bought him his very own pool (featured in the picture). He also has 2 awesome doggie brothers to hang out with in the house and outside too.

Even with his 5am wake up alarm every morning, they couldn't be happier to have welcomed Mac Nut into their lives.

Way to go Mac Nut! Have fun in your pool!

Brix Pupdate
Brix came to us as an owner surrender. However, he didn't stay in our care for very long because this wonderful family was waiting for a dog like Brix. He now has a little child to play house/store with and is a fabulous model as you can see.

You go Brix!

Foster Spotlight!
We are so excited to introduce you to Alysha who took in Lori whilst she was still pregnant. Alysha and Joey previously adopted another shorty bull from AIR named Frankie and couldn't resist taking on Lori's pregnancy. These fabulous fosters have gone above and beyond for Lori and her pups from delivery, bottle feeding, and caring for mom and pups, they have been troopers.

As the pups near the 8 weeks mark, Alysha has braved the overwhelming task of showing the pups to their new owners who are patiently waiting to make these little ones new additions to their respective families.

Mama Lori is still available for adoption as well. She deserves a loving home and family to call her own.

Thanks Alysha, Joey and family for all you have done for not only Team AIR but Lori, her pups and Frankie. We are so glad to have you as a vital part of Team AIR!

Patiently waiting for their FOREVER!
Lori

Lori is a 6 year old, black and brindle, shorty bull who came to us as a pregnant stray. She has since completed her motherly duties and all of her pups are spoken for once they reach 8 weeks of age. Lori deserves a forever home and to enjoy retirement from motherhood.

Do you have room for Lori in your home?
Magnolia

Magnolia is a 2 year old, miniature pinscher mix. This sweet girl is a little ball of energy who gets along great with other dogs. She doesn't particularly care for cats or chickens.

Are you ready for a playmate?
Nalu

Nalu is a sweet, 6 month old, black and white terrier mix. He is great with other dogs and loves to play. Nalu would make a great hiking partner and loves children.

OOOOOPS! ADOPTED!!! Nalu has since been adopted. Yay!!
How can you help TEAMAIR?

Please help us as we help change the lives of our island's displaced dogs. We are always in need of assistance with our huge vet bills every month to help care for our dogs. If you visit our website, you can click on the many ways that you can lend a hand in caring for all the dogs in our care.

One amazing way is to purchase one of our shirts, either our K9 matchmakers or Aloha Ilio Rescue logo design. There are a variety of styles and colors for every member of your family to proudly represent your love and support for Aloha Ilio Rescue. A portion of every shirt sold is donated back to Aloha Ilio to help us care for our dogs.

Some of the other great ways to help us is through small monthly recurring donations or a one time monetary donation to our organization. These donations help us to pay for medications, vet bills, and overall care of our dogs to ensure their well-being and happiness.

Thank you so much for your continued support!
