Dear League of Women Voters of Alachua County,
Time for the Annual Meeting! Sadly, we will have another Annual Meeting via Zoom. I sincerely hope this is the last year we have to meet in this fashion. Our Annual Meeting was always such a great way to come together, take care of League business and visit with each other. Hopefully, we will be back to our old format by next year; however, for this year, it will be Zoom again. I hope you have already marked your calendar - Annual Meeting: Thursday, May 27th at 6:30 p.m. (please note updated time).
Please pre-register for the Annual Meeting by sending a confirmation to our Vice President, Wes Wheeler.
These confirmation messages must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 26th. It is important that we know the number of attendees before the meeting. The attached instructions explain how to join the meeting on Thursday, May 27th between 6:15 and 6:30 p.m.
This year we will vote on three questions. Each will be presented for your vote as a yes or no question. Given the limitations of running a large Zoom meeting, we will not be able to discuss these matters during the meeting. If you have any questions or concerns about any of the attached documents, please contact me or any of the Board to make suggestions or ask for clarification prior to the meeting.
Please review each document and come to the meeting prepared to vote. If you are unable to attend the Annual Meeting, you may cast your votes on the questions being considered by sending your vote of yes or no on each to me no later than 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 26th.
The meeting will begin with an introduction of each question. The three questions are:
