Conference

Registration will open September 15, 2020
Attendance is limited to 1,000 attendees. We will offer two levels of registration this year. The general registration will be $200 and give attendees access to the full conference, social events and CNE. A limited free registration for attendees unable to afford general registration will be available with access limited to select programming. Paid attendees will be able to earn up to 18 CNE credits throughout the three-day conference. Awards nominations are now open
The annual call for ANAC awards is now open until August 31. Awards recognize excellence and achievement in a variety of areas, including clinical practice, leadership, research, education and prevention. Honor a member you admire who has advanced HIV or HIV-related nursing and enhanced the growth of ANAC. Nominate someone today!

ANAC supports the Global Health Votes campaign
The Global Health Votes campaign of the Consortium of Universities in Global Health (CUGH) is an effort to protect voters' rights and increase voter turn-out. The first step is confirming you are registered to vote and encouraging your network to do the same. Register to vote or check your voter registration

Opposition to the U.S. decision to withdraw from the World Health Organization. 
The United States announced it's decision to withdraw from the World Health Organization (WHO). ANAC joined with many nursing organizations and health care providers call for the reverse of this decision. Read the statement.

Global

WHO global research database on COVID-19
WHO is gathering the latest international multilingual scientific findings and knowledge on COVID-19. The global literature cited in the WHO COVID-19 database is updated daily from searches of bibliographic databases, hand searching and the addition of other expert-referred scientific articles.

HIV and Aging toolkit update
View the latest updates to the ANAC HIV & Aging toolkit. It offers links to evidenced-based resources on clinical, epidemiological and policy issues related to HIV and aging for nurses and other members of the healthcare team.

COVID-19 resource center
The Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center is a continually updated site for clinical, epidemiological and policy information related to COVID-19 in the U.S. and globally. Data can be aggregated by state and region regarding testing, tracing, case rates and fatalities. A full library of latest publications is also available.

JANAC


JANAC seeks mentors for student internship program
JANAC is seeking volunteers to serve as mentors in the JANAC student internship program. The program is deisgned to to foster students' cultivation of skills in writing and reviewing scholarly manuscripts and to support the mission and vision of JANAC. For more information contact Barb Swanson.

Call for papers
Currently, JANAC has an open call for papers throughout the year on specific topics noted here. There is also a call for submissions for a special issue in January-February 2022 focusing on the resilience and well-being throughout the lifespan of people living with HIV.

JANAC featured article
The May-June 2020 issue of JANAC focuses on neurocognitive issues associated with HIV and physical activity. Please be sure to read this month's featured article, Weekday and Weekend Physical Activity and Stationary Behavior Patterns of People Living With HIV, and complete the CEU test.
