Governor Cuomo has just announced that effective Monday December 14, 2020, indoor dining will be disallowed in New York City.
Outdoor dining and takeout/delivery may continue until further notice.
It is important to note that if you have an outdoor dining tent or other structure, it must be open on at least 2 sides to be considered “outdoor” dining. If the structure is not open on at least 2 sides, it is considered “indoor” dining and is subject to the indoor dining closure.
As a reminder, even outdoor food and beverage service must cease at or before 10 PM daily, meaning restaurants must ensure that no food or beverage is consumed after 10 PM and that no patron enters into any interior portion of the restaurant’s premises at or after 10 PM.
Restaurants may still provide food and non-alcoholic beverages for curbside or take-out window pickup or for delivery after 10 PM.
