T.W. LEWIS FOUNDATION MADE OUR SUMMER
When it comes to helping children and youth in foster care, the T.W. Lewis Foundation is an organization that deserves a lot of credit. Their generous contributions to AFFCF in 2021 alone exemplify their commitment to uplift a population of children and youth who oftentimes get overlooked.

Earlier this year, the T.W. Lewis Foundation, made our summer by providing us the funds to promote our Save Their Summer initiative statewide. When our requests during May, June and July shot up more than 50% from the same months the previous year, T.W. Lewis helped fund the increase in childhood activity awards. They also continue to support young men and women transitioning to adulthood through our Keys to Success program.

AFFCF is grateful for the continued support of the T.W. Lewis Foundation. Together, we are changing lives and helping young people in foster care be winners!
MEET THE BOARD
Meredith DeAngelis is the Chair of AFFCF's Board of Directors. She says she's learned a ton about foster care since joining the Board. Here's what she has to say in her own words...
"I joined the board in 2013 because I wanted to use my marketing expertise to do something good for the community. At the time I knew very little about foster care. I had no idea that once these kids turn 18 years old they are on their own. I never really thought what it would be like to not have the support of my parents growing up until I got involved.

I have learned that children in foster care have gone through too much pain and yet they choose to have careers as therapists, teachers, nurses, law enforcement, etc. so they can improve the lives of others. The most important thing I have learned is that these kids need our support and encouragement. If we don’t help them, who will?"
