This month we offer a special salute to the Class of 2020 and wish them well in all their future endeavors. We also bid farewell to Esta Kramer, a longtime friend of the Museum, and celebrate her magnificent legacy. As summer once again makes its way to Maine, we express our appreciation to everyone who has so generously contributed to the public good in moving through the challenges of the spring. We miss seeing each of you in person, but are glad to have the opportunity to continue to serve our community through the development of new online offerings and resources. We hope you will enjoy our recent interview with artist Andrea Dezsö, the forthcoming "virtual tour" of the recently-closed Rufus Porter exhibition, and a new online resource for Fast Fashion/Slow Art. Participating artist Carole Lung (the archivist and biographer of Frau Fiber) joins us in late June for a virtual workshop where she will discuss her work. We look forward, in the days ahead, to joining you virtually to engage with the Museum's collections and the creative responses they continue to inspire.

Remembering Esta Kramer

We were very sad to learn of the passing of Esta Kramer last month. Esta was a great supporter of Bowdoin and loved the College very much. In particular, she took a special interest in the Bowdoin College Museum of Art and the George J. Mitchell Department of Special Collections & Archives at the Bowdoin College Library.
