Life Cycles
Juniata Elementary first graders in Mrs. Walker's classroom have been studying life cycles and have observed these eggs for more than 21 days now. Look at how cute these little chicks are!

It’s a good thing that Mrs. Walker has a chicken coop for them to live in soon at her house because they are growing up fast!
Amazing Race Math Challenge
Mrs. Gardner’s fourth grade class at Juniata Gap Elementary participated in the Amazing Race Math Challenge. Students worked in groups to complete a set of math questions at each station. Each question was worth a set amount of points. After checking answers to each question, students then competed in an amazing race challenge!
"One School One Book"
Logan Elementary students continue reading the “One School One Book” daily, “The Adventures of a South Pole Pig." This week the students finished projects to be presented to parents and community members at the end of the month. Some of the projects are completed in school as part of an art assignment or an independent idea completed during W.I.N. time. Other students are designing their own project and creating it at home for the chance to win one of the many South Pole Pig Prizes!
McAuliffe Heights Program students learned the art of Origami and with the help of Mrs. Russo and Mrs. Macken, had a fun time making origami bookmarks to use in their favorite story!
Flashlight Fridays!
Each Friday in first grade is Flashlight Fridays at Penn Lincoln Elementary School! The lights are turned off and students read their favorite stories using flashlights. The students get so excited each week for this activity!
AAJHS Art 7 students in Mrs. O'Roark's class have been working with student teacher, Ms. Lord learning how to use watercolor to create parts of a landscape. Students have been practicing techniques in order to prepare them to create their own watercolor landscape. In addition to learning techniques, students have learned how throughout history artists have preserved natural scenery through their art of our ever changing landscapes
