COVID-19 Update
Dear Family and Friends of South Cove Manor:
 
Good Afternoon,
 
Yesterday we swabbed 100% of our staff, and we received the results today. Unfortunately, there are 2 new positive staff members.

  • Both staff members are asymptomatic, and have been excluded from work for at least 10 days.

  • 100% of residents were swabbed today as part of our regular testing schedule. We should receive those results tomorrow.

  • We will test all second-floor staff tomorrow with a newly approved instant (15 minute) testing option from Abbott Labs called BinaxNow.

  1. This option will allow us to exclude positive staff from work immediately, but we will still need to follow up with a PCR test

  • We will test 100% of staff on Sunday with a PCR test (including the second-floor staff that will receive the instant test tomorrow).

We will continue to adjust our plans based on each round of testing.
