The Service Day team is planning a return to the "traditional" Service Day where students and parent volunteers will travel offsite on field trips into the community in service of others.
Parent volunteer sign up will be sent out in early November. All Service Day Volunteers are required to have completed the Protecting God's Children Program and be in full compliance. We are truly excited to once again be doing "God's Work, Our Hands".

Hi Parents! You may now register for as many volunteer spots as you would like!
Classroom Volunteer Sign-Up Process
The sign-up for in-person volunteer opportunities in your child’s class will take place on SignUp.com. Here is the link to all classroom sign ups! https://signup.com/go/snCzOkF This year, all in-class opportunities for grades PK3 - 7th are being handled through this sign-up. There will no longer be paper forms sent by the room parent. In all instances, parents seeking to volunteer in-person must be in compliance with the school’s current requirements. Additionally, records of completion Protecting God’s Children training and the Online Illinois Mandated Reporter Training must be on file with the school office. Click on the following link for more information:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1tDscglUOfIUhJ6tjRFt4Cemve4Edoj3d/view?usp=sharing or contact Peggy Evans at [email protected].
Classroom Specific Volunteer Opportunities
Items you may see on your child’s sign up include, facilitating classroom parties, chaperoning field trips, helping watch students on Teacher Appreciation Day, assisting with Falcon Fun Day & helping with the end of the year picnic. There are several items listed on the sign up that do not currently have a firm date. Dates and times will be communicated from each classroom room parent as they are obtained from the school.
Please note that signing up to provide drinks or snacks for a party does NOT involve coming into the classroom. Drinks and snacks can be brought in by your child or dropped off at the main office. All snacks and drinks must be selected from the approved snack list. Due to information that may have changed, please check package labels. Any item that may contain peanuts and/or tree nuts may not be distributed. Other allergies may exist in the classroom, please be sure to contact the teacher for that information, so that every child can enjoy the treat with their classmates.
Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions!
Thank you,
Carrie Johnson, FSA President

Great week for 7A girls basketball. The regular season ended with SFX winning 3 games in 3 days against IC, St. Cletus & Notre Dame. The Falcons earned the #2 seed in the playoffs and began play versus SJC on Monday 10/24. Also, SFX hosted the 7A tournament. Many girls from that team spent a good part of their Sunday volunteering at the gym. The girls all represented the parish well and the entire day was a success. Thanks very much to all the players! | Congratulations to the 7th grade gold basketball team for a great season! The team got 2nd place to St. John of the Cross in the championship game last night. Way to go girls!! | |
