Spokane Makes NAR Top Ten List
|
NEW!
NAR has identified 10 markets that have shown resilience during this pandemic period and are expected to perform well in a post-COVID-19 environment in the next two years.
Spokane-Spokane Valley made the list!
"Some markets have been performing exceptionally well throughout the pandemic and they'll likely carry that momentum well into 2021 and beyond because of strong in-migration of new residents, faster local job market recoveries and environments conducive to work-from-home arrangements and other factors," said Dr Lawrence Yun, NAR Chief Economist and Senior Vice President. The report was released Thursday morning at NAR's 2020 Real Estate Forecast Summit. Download your copy of the report (pictured above) online here.

SAR Board Thanks Tom Clark for Service
|
NEW!
Your SAR Board of Directors celebrated the conclusion of 2020 SAR President Tom Clark's year of service, this week, with a cake and a round of applause at the association's December board meeting (pictured above). The cake (pictured above) featured a fall theme with autumn leaves, a pair of elk, and the message "thank you for 2020 Tom." Since his audience was virtual, Tom brought the cake back to his office to share with his team. Clark served our association during a pandemic year - only the second such year in the association's 109 year history - the first being the year of the flu pandemic in 1918 (when the association was just seven years old).

Governor Inslee, this week, announced a three week extension through January 4th of the November 16th restrictions put in place to curb the surge in new COVID-19 cases.
As a reminder, these restrictions impact real estate in the following ways:
- All real estate open houses are suspended.
- Professional services should work from home. If you are unable to work from home, those services will be limited to 25% of building occupancy and closed to the general public.
- Please note that private home showings are still permitted by appointment with no more than five (5) people, in addition to the broker, on site with strict social distancing.
To be clear, real estate is still in business.
REALTORS® have proven that we can conduct business safely and effectively under these guidelines.
