Learn About Hosting Seminary Interns

During February and March, Union Presbyterian Seminary begins coordinating internships for students in the practice of ministry. Small Church Ministry subsidizes and supports interns serving in small church settings. If you are interested in hosting a seminary intern in 2022-2023, two people can help answer questions you may have. Kerra English, pastor at Ashland Church and moderator of Small Church Ministry, has worked with interns for 10 years. Dorothee Tripodi directs the Supervised Ministry Office at Union Seminary. Find contact information for each on the presbytery website.

Invite a Young Adult to Serve

Does your congregation have a young adult (ages 18-30) who would like to explore a year of service in the U.S. or internationally? Many participants in the PC(USA)’s Young Adult Volunteer program report that they heard about the opportunity because someone took the time to talk to them about it. The program is accepting applications for positions starting in Fall 2022. Scholarships are available from POJ’s World Mission Ministry for members of our churches.
