Dear Parents,
This week our students traveled to Africa. They learned about African cultures and completed crafts as well as read books relating to African culture. Our kids in Rainbow, Brown, Orange, Gold, and Silver were treated to an onsite field trip. The Miami Children's Museum stopped by and read 5 stories that were accompanied by music and song. The kids really liked it. They are scheduled to come back 3 more times this summer. If your child is in one of the classes and was in attendance on the day of the field trip, you will see a nominal $5 fee in your Brightwheel account.
This week we had more shade sails installed on our playground to beat the summer heat. We are also using our misting fans to keep the kids cooler while they enjoy outside activities.
This week got away from us with regard to our promise to put out our recycled uniforms. On Monday we will start rolling out the cart of recycled uniforms. Please feel free to take as many as you wish while they last, they are in great shape. We will also have the sign-up sheet available for ordering new uniforms for August.
