COVID-19: Club Update
Dear Members,

Thank you to all Members who have been using the Club since the start of our Controlled Opening Plan (COP) on May 8th. It has been great to see Members back on the tennis courts and in the Fitness Centre.

We are pleased to report that Phase 1 of the COP has been very successful. Members and staff have been adjusting to the new normal and respecting the new health and safety protocols that have been implemented as a result of Covid-19.

Based on the success of Phase 1, we are continuing to lift restrictions on Club use and are ready to launch Phase 2.

Phase 2 will include the controlled opening of the following facilities:

*Members are strongly encouraged to play with family members and close friends only (limit your social network).

Each part of Phase 2 has specific COP protocols so please familiarize yourself PRIOR to coming to the Club. Bookings through GameTime are mandatory for all open athletic facilities, please click here to view our "How to Book Online" video if you require assistance.

I want to take this opportunity to remind Members that social and physical distancing is critical to the success of our COP and that it is being strictly enforced. Members who do not follow social and physical distancing protocols are being asked to leave the Club immediately.

Although certain restrictions are being lifted, we encourage Members to continue to follow the health guidelines being released by Vancouver Coastal Health and Dr. Bonnie Henry. And of course, If you are sick or showing symptoms of being sick, please stay home.

The Club is doing everything possible to provide a safe environment for Members and staff. With this being said, our protocols are only as good as the communication around them. If you have visited the Club to enjoy the facilities and develop symptoms of, or test positive for COVID-19, it is imperative that you let the Club know. If you find yourself in this situation please email me directly at emclaughlin@hollyburn.org ; your privacy will be respected.

The Club continues to follow the guidelines set forward by the Vancouver Coastal Health Authority and we are doing everything we can to get the Club up to full use as soon as safely possible.

Although we are ready to open the pool, we still don’t have safety clearance from the BC Lifesaving Society and WorkSafeBC. Our projected opening date for the pool is early June.
The Club closure has given us the time to do some major renovations on the ice plant, which are just about complete. The large ice is projected to be opening on June 15 th .

Thank you for your on-going cooperation keeping your fellow Members and staff safe as we work through these uncertain times.
