Everyone is looking forward to Memorial Day weekend with the pool being open. The restrictions imposed on it’s use will make it a different experience from past seasons but will be one that all can enjoy.  The Board and Management will spend this week tweaking their plans to make it fabulous but here is the outline of the plan. The goal is to provide equitable access to the pool within the official parameters.

  • Restrictions limit the number of people allowed inside the pool area (fenced area) at any one time to 30.
  • Restrictions limit the number of people in the pool at any one time to 18.
  • Each day of the extended weekend will be divided into time slots of about 90 minutes each beginning with Friday and going through Monday.
  • At the end of each 90-minute session, the pool will be closed for about 30 minutes to clean the pool deck furniture and hard surfaces.
  • Guests are invited to signup for a convenient time slot each day between 8:30 am and 1:00 pm.
  • Colored wrist bands will be issued to guests corresponding to their time slot.
  • Only the gates closest to the club house will be open.
  • A tent and pool official will be available in the tent for registering guests.
  • Depending on the number of guests each day, a determination will be made about 1 pm if additional time slots are available for users to get another pool opportunity that day.
  • Deck chairs will be available outside the fenced area on a first come, first served basis. Supplies will be provided for guests to sanitize the chairs outside the fenced area.
  • The pool will be open between 9 am and 8:30 pm except during periods of cleaning.

If this sounds complicated, don’t worry. Folk will be available to assist with pool scheduling. And, of course, mamma nature will have a say too in how busy the pool will be.

Memorial Day Weekend events and offerings have unfortunately either been changed or eliminated this year.

  • Lunches will not be provided during this holiday weekend.
  • There will be no pool games.
  • No official parties or ceremonies will be sponsored by the campground or by other site hosts to accommodate campground crowds during this holiday weekend.
  • Holiday rates will not apply to site rentals during this holiday weekend.
Photographic equipment (including smart phone) use within the campground is restricted to personal use in most areas. With that said, everyone is reminded that the five acres, pool and hot tub are particularly sensitive areas. Respect of privacy here is paramount and use of any photography, including social media posts, that violates the privacy of guests is strictly prohibited.

If you are approached by anyone claiming to be a representative of the campground for purposes of photography other than campground photographer, Tom Transou, please report the incident immediately to the office or other campground staff. Guests can always opt out of promotional photos taken by Tom during events and activities here, and any official photos taken are used with discretion. Allowing others to take photos of you may not be as appropriately safeguarded.

Bookmark it, make it a favorite and check it often.
The weeks and weekends are simply fabulous here.
