Back to the Pitch!
We are excited to be back on the fields as we continue our second week of pre-season with our Elite teams and our first week of pre-season with our Classic teams. All travel teams are gearing up for friendlies this weekend against Central Virginia United from Lynchburg, Fredericksburg FC and Tidewater Sharks from Williamsburg. Recreational teams begin practice starting the week of September 8th. We are thrilled to have our players back on the field and we look forward to a successful fall season!
Safety Protocols
FC Richmond has carefully developed return to play plans for both recreational soccer and travel soccer that we feel provide a safe path to get back on the field. These are working plans that will evolve as we continue to learn more about COVID, or if changes happen at the local, state or federal level. Our priority is the safety of our players, coaches and families. Please read more about our safety protocols here:
FC Richmond Scholarship Recipients
FC Richmond is pleased to offer college scholarships to our players who have demonstrated outstanding achievement both on and off the field. These five players have shown an unmatched dedication and commitment to both their academic pursuits, and the game of soccer. We are excited to follow them as they begin their collegiate careers and wish them great success in the future!

Congratulations to:
Olivia Crooks, University of Virginia
Dylan Johnson, Shenandoah University
Zoe Long, Randolph Macon College
Katelyn Seagraves, Bridgewater College
Hunter Beale, Longwood University
Coaches Corner

Our Directors, Trip Ellis, Trip Dunville and Ian Stowe are leading several online coaches' meetings to review safety protocols and best practices for the upcoming season! They made the meeting fun by including FC Richmond trivia and wearing their favorite team jersey! Welcome back to many of our seasoned coaches and welcome to our new coaches: Brandon Rogers, Amanda Placide, Cole Horan, Lauren Brower, Mary Virginia Kelley, Matthew Szucs, Natacha Rangel-Ribeiro, Kalvin Kromer, Madeline Brass and Graham Prather. Now Accepting Junior Board Applications
FC Richmond is pleased to offer an exciting leadership opportunity for high school sophomores, juniors and seniors. We are now accepting applications to serve on the Junior Board of Directors for the 2020-21 school year! Applications are due September 12th. The Junior Board program may look a bit different from previous years due to COVID-19. We are looking for creative individuals to help us continue to make a difference in our club and community during this unique time. Please see the mission statement, qualifications, and application HERE.
Virginia Cup: 1st Tournament of the Season
The 10th Annual Virginia Cup is the largest Labor Day Tournament in Virginia, and is co-hosted by FC Richmond and Virginia Legacy Soccer Club. With over 200 teams in attendance last year, the Virginia Cup boasts three of the best complexes in the state, Warhill Sports Complex, River City Sportsplex, and West Creek Field Complex. Our travel teams players will participate in this tournament the weekend of September 4-6. Good luck to all of our teams!
