Hello Easter People,

I pray that you are all doing well during this second week after Easter. I am so excited as we continue our worship focus on Love Your Neighbor. Together, we are building up towards May 2 for our Church Has Left the Building ministry event. Our Mission Outreach Team has once again outdone themselves in pulling together all types of projects that will help us move into our community and show abundant love for our neighbors. Please mark your calendar. We are hoping to make this one of our largest events of the year. There are plenty of safe socially distant projects and even projects that can be done ahead of time like writing cards. So sign up!!

We are aware of the rising COVID cases in our state. Our COVID Response Team will be meeting later this week to continue to make plans for safe in-person ministry and worship. We do feel confident in our worship protocols and will continue to offer an in-person worship experience for those who are comfortable being present at 10:00 am. Of course we will also be live streaming that service on our YouTube channel. We are thankful for the teams and small groups that are starting to meet in person and/or are continuing to use technology to stay connected and move forward in ministry.

Even in a pandemic, God is inviting us to worship, study, grow spiritually, serve others, and connect with other church friends. This can be easier said than done. If you are struggling with figuring out how to connect or reconnect please reach out to the staff or me. We would be honored to help you in this journey. We need to continue to be patient, to extend grace, and to be the bold church that God is calling us to be as we stay Christ Focused, Spirit Filled, and Mission Driven.

Love and Peace in Christ,
Rev. Mary

April Mission of the Month
GOD’S COUNTRY COOPERATIVE PARISH is 7 churches in four counties that banded together to survive and thrive where resources are miles apart; in an area of harsh winters, low employment opportunities, and poverty levels at or below the national and state averages. Your gifts to GOD’S COUNTRY COOPERATIVE PARISH are NOT used to send our volunteers on mission trips, but are used to help support the actual mission of GCCP: the administrative needs, interns, materials, and additional programs that have been added over the years. Please consider showing financial love for our neighbors in the Upper Peninsula or dropping off NEW socks and underwear for the children. Donations may be placed the the church drop-box, or in one of the bins in the parlor or by the front entrance by May 1st.
