Quarterly News

Update

Fellow CTE Administrators:

I hope this quarterly newsletter finds you well. It is hard to believe that November is right around the corner! It was terrific to see the strong attendance of the Administration Division at the recent Best Practices and Innovations conference. The annual conference, co-hosted by ACTE and NCLA, was outstanding with excellent keynote speakers including Dr. Jill Siler, Dr. John Mulcahy, and Jaime Casap, great breakout and mini-sessions, and wonderful opportunities to network and socialize with CTE administrative colleagues.  Next year’s Best Practices and Innovations Conference will be held in Salt Lake City, Utah (Sept. 27–29), so mark your calendars now for what will be another terrific conference focused on supporting CTE administrators.

Up next on the horizon is another wonderful professional development opportunity with CareerTech VISION 2022. Whether you are able to attend in-person or online, I trust you will find your time invested valuable and worthwhile.  Be sure to note the following Administration Division sessions:

Wednesday, Nov. 30

  • 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.: Administration Division Policy Committee Meeting (Face-to-Face)
  • 1:45 p.m.–2:45 p.m.: Administration Division Business Meeting (Face-to-Face)

Thursday, Dec. 1

  • 7:00 a.m.–8:00 a.m.: First-Time Attendee Breakfast & Orientation
  • 11:45 a.m.–12:45 p.m.: Administration Division Opening Session (Face-to-Face/Virtual) with Keynote Speaker Randall Gooch

Also, on Friday, Dec. 2, the Administration Division is partnering with the Counseling & Career Development Division, New and Related Services Division, and the new Work-Based Learning Division to host an all-day hospitality room. With support from MajorClarity, we are able to provide free professional headshots as part of the hospitality room experience, so please plan to stop in (see below for flyer).

If there is any way that I can help to support your work, please do not hesitate to reach out.  In the meantime, please enjoy the reminders and resources offered within the newsletter, and I look forward to seeing you during the upcoming VISION Conference.

Sincerely,
