Wrennhouse Fund Expresses Love For Community
We are happy to announce the Wrennhouse Fund. This new Fund provides donors Kent and Kris Wrenn a charitable way to express their love for the Sycamore community and the nonprofit organizations that serve it.
Give DeKalb County is less than a month away! This May 6 giving event allows donors to make gifts of all sizes to support their favorite nonprofit organizations in DeKalb County. Donors can give online or by mail during Give DeKalb County. Every donation made through this event is boosted by a portion of the Bonus Pool.
The DeKalb County COVID-19 Response Fund advisory committee is pleased to announce that a total of $130,563 was recently awarded to 20 local nonprofits during the fourth round of DeKalb County COVID-19 Response Grants.
We are pleased to announce new leadership roles for our Board of Directors. During the January 2021 meeting, the Foundation welcomed G. Joseph Mitchell (DeKalb) as the Board president, Christine Johnson (Shabbona) as the vice president, and Roger Maas (DeKalb) as treasurer. Dan Templin continues to fill the secretary position while in his role as Executive Director of the Community Foundation.

We are excited to announce the Elder Care Services Endowment Fund. Open to contributions from donors with a passion for senior citizens in DeKalb County, this Fund will provide a stable source of revenue for Elder Care Services of DeKalb County (ECS) to support them in their mission of assisting senior citizens and vulnerable adults of DeKalb County.
This new study explores nonprofit organizations in DeKalb County and provides a glimpse at their funding, programs, and the impact of COVID-19. This is the third study for DeKalb County thanks to the collaboration of the Center for Nonprofit and NGO Studies at Northern Illinois University and the DeKalb County Nonprofit Partnership (DCNP).
