We Will Be Worshipping Outside
Here is all the information you need to know
Hey Families,

It’s been a while!! I sincerely hope you are all keeping well and that you’ve been still connecting with our church ministries despite not being able to physically gather.

I wanted to connect with you all about some changes happening for our nursery and Kidz Worship groups. As you may or may not have heard, we are going to be doing at least a few weeks of church outside. There will be one service at 10AM. Outdoor services will start as of June 13th. As you can imagine, the set up will look quite different.

All children (ages 2+) will start the service by sitting with their families. They will then be dismissed from the service to our Kidz Worship area. This will be located on the grassy section next to the parking lot where the campfire pit is. Parents will be responsible for picking up their kids from the Kidz Worship area. Though this area is fairly shady during the day, we encourage children to come with sun hats and applied sunscreen

Please be assured that we will have extra volunteers to monitor the children in this new environment, and to escort them from the main service to our kids service. We are also having the preschool group (ages 2 & 3) join us. They will sit with their siblings on benches (if siblings are present). When they become too distracted, they will then be escorted to a separate enclosed section behind the rest of the group with age appropriate activities to be monitored by preschool volunteers. Children are encouraged to use the washroom before the start of service, however volunteers can bring children to the building to use the washroom, if necessary.

Our littlest worshippers (Babies Age 0-2) will be allowed in the building. Everything else for this group will stay fairly standard. You can check in and drop off your child(ren) at the nursery like normal (please enter the staff entrance doors to do so).

Because we are meeting outside, masks are optional as a church, however, our volunteers will be required to wear masks from dismissal during the service until all are situated at our Kidz Worship area. This ensures safety in case volunteers unintentionally come closer than 6ft to the kids. Masks are optional for children the entire morning. As always, you have the option of keeping your children in the service with you. Due to the nature of the outdoor service, clipboards with activities will not be provided.

I know this is a lot of information but my purpose in being so detailed is to give you parents the confidence that your children will be well taken care of. Please contact me (reply to this email) with any questions and/or comments you may have. I’m looking forward to meeting again soon!
