Hello Friends!


This week, thanks to our awesome Yoga Teacher Training group, we've been learning about some new yoga studies on the incredible health benefits of practicing. According to the National Institutes of Health, scientific evidence shows that yoga supports brain health, focus, stress management, mental health, mindfulness, physical health, and quality sleep.


We're curious....have you noticed any of these benefits? We’d love to know how yoga (and even more specifically, Flow!) has been personally helpful to you. A Gift Of Practice


We hope you'll stay connected with us during this holiday week. We have a full schedule for you both in person and virtually to help you take care of yourself. Maybe you can encourage family members to take some virtual classes with you too! We're continuing to add special classes to our video library for our members including some brand-new meditations that I hope will be helpful.


I just added one of the meditations to youtube -- so even if you're not a member yet, you can see what it's like. I'll keep it up for a few more days for you to enjoy. Ian (my husband and fellow co-owner of Flow) listened to it last night and reported that he fell asleep more quickly and deeply than he has in a long time.


Will you let me know if you like it? Plus follow along on Instagram, each week where I'll be adding a mindfulness practice on Thursdays.

A long time ago when I lived in NYC I used to take classes at the NY Open Center. It’s a place where you can go to take master classes & workshops on all kinds of topics like a meditation series, the Artist Way, plant medicine, tarot, herbs, and so much more. 

 

We've been visioning using our 1450 P Street location in a similar way. Since the pandemic, we have been slowly starting to use the space again for Flow classes but have yet to really fill the schedule…which leaves us with a lot of open space for dreaming & reimagining what a yoga community space could be.

 

For this endeavor, which we’re tentatively calling the Flow Wellness Collective, we have open:


  • The large room upstairs after 9:00 AM daily all the way through most evenings…with the only unavailable time being Tues/Thurs evenings.
  • The small room upstairs is available all day every day.

 

Do you or someone you know have an interest in running a course in our space? We're specifically looking for established teachers & class series to complement our current offerings. Or even a like-minded business like acupuncture, massage, physical therapy, dance, pilates, or counseling.
