With another Lock Down upon us let us help with your meal prep. Heat and Serve meals plus BBQ boxes will be available weekly for pick up Wednesday to Friday 12-7.

Lockdown Meals 2.0 are a little bit different. This time we will be taking
orders over the phone or by email.

Pre-orders are alway encouraged but you may also order day of with a 1 hour notice. Cut off for orders will be at 3:00pm on Friday.

We are nearing our planned opening date of May 1; however, it looks like we may have to wait a little longer. There are several Golf Associations like the PGA of Ontario, Golf Ontario, and the NGCAO, that are all working toward having the government reconsider the lockdown as it relates to golf and other outdoor activities. When we do open, let’s be sure that we all abide by the regulations to keep each other safe, and to ensure that golf is not part of any future lockdowns.

Although golf may be closed, we are still continuing with big plans for the 2021 golf season here at Vespra Hills. Most recently we held the virtual Mens league team draft, and it was a lot of fun. Each of the 13 team captains feel like they have created the ultimate team for this season, and only time will tell. We have 182 players signed up so far, and I think we might get close to 200. The ladies draft is a little delayed as I had to get some confirmations from a few different players, and that is all done now. The ladies day also has great registration with over 50 players which is significantly more than any other year.  I will have those team lists out before the weekend.

Special order product continues to come in, a bit slowly unfortunately. Thank you again to all those that placed their orders, and I look forward to getting it all into your hands to use this spring. This year’s stock of FootJoy, Greg Norman, Nike, and Lopez clothing looks great, and we are getting it all ready for you as we speak. The new golf shop is also coming together nicely, and it will be a nice improvement for the long term.

Many of the employees from last year are returning and they are eager to get started. There are some new faces joining us, and they will bring that same positive energy that was present in 2020. Branson Ferrier is taking a break from Professional Tour golf to join us in the Golf Shop and he brings a great level of enthusiasm and expertise with him. Also new to the golf shop is Jeff Ash. Jeff is quite a player himself and brings years of Golftown knowledge with him as well. Chloe, Alec and another new employee, Emily, round out the golf shop very well and they will each look to be more involved with the daily operations at Vespra. There are more new employees outside this year, joining the great crew from 2020. I cannot wait to get them all started and helping you all enjoy the club to its full potential.

Thank you all for your patience, and hopefully we hear some good news shortly. If we cannot open this weekend, we will maintain the Opening Field Day teams and start times for a rescheduled date.
