As of July 1, 2021 the minimum wage in Chicago is $15 per hour for employers with 21 or more workers, and $14 per hour for employers with 4 to 20 workers.


A robust coalition of small business advocates are urging lawmakers to pass Senate Bill 1982, which will allocate 25% of those funds to help small and local businesses recover from the pandemic. It also sets forth the framework for an improved Business Interruption Grant program so more businesses can receive crucial funding.

ZenBusiness, a one-stop-shop to form, run and grow a business, announced that more than 100,000 micro businesses have been formed using the platform since the onset of the pandemic - allowing these individuals to transition to full time entrepreneurship and follow their dreams.

When the building at 2447 N Halsted Street reopens later this month, it will shed the Tonic Room name in favor of a new title: Golden Dagger. This event is open to all neighborhood families. St. James will provide all of the clean up supplies.
