The Druid Hills Education Foundation is finally a reality!
After several years of planning, the Druid Hills Education Foundation has finally been established at Druid Hills High School! Its mission is to promote and enrich the education and development of all DHHS students
The DHEF has begun raising funds to support the school's academics, athletics, the arts, and capital improvements. Their fundraising efforts will grow to support the financial needs of the DHHS PTO and the DHAA.
Its inaugural fundraiser will run from now through December 31, 2022. Inaugural Donors who contribute $2022 or more will have their family name added to a special plaque in the central lobby of the school, commemorating the establishment of the DHEF.
Sponsor a Red Bow @ DHHS During Red Ribbon Week
In 1988, the National Family Partnership sponsored the first National Red Ribbon Celebration. Today, the Red Ribbon serves as a catalyst to mobilize communities to educate youth and encourage participation in drug prevention activities. Since that time, the campaign has reached millions of U.S. children and families. The NFP and its network of individuals and organizations continue to deliver this message of hope to millions of people every year, through the National Red Ribbon Campaign.

DHHS will kick off 2022 Red Ribbon Week, October 23-31, with red bows on trees around campus. Find out how to sponsor a bow in the flyer to the right.

SIGNIFICANT SUMMER 2023 ACADEMIC OPPORTUNITIES TO CONSIDER NOW
The Georgia Governor’s Honors Program (GHP) is a residential summer program for gifted and talented high school students who will be rising juniors and seniors during the program. The program offers instruction that is significantly different from the typical high school classroom. It is designed to provide students with academic, cultural, and social enrichment necessary to become the next generation of global critical thinkers, innovators, and leaders.
GHP is held in mid-summer (mid-June to mid-July) as a residential educational experience on a college or university campus. Students attend classes in the mornings and afternoons in specific areas of study, and they participate in a wide variety of social and instructional opportunities every evening. Meals and rooms are provided by the program. The only required and expected costs to the students are travel expenses to and from the interviews; a few basic supplies for classes and dorm rooms; and spending money as desired during the program.
