From the Principal's Desk

Dear Saints Peter and Paul Community,

As we come to the close of this extraordinary and unprecedented 2020-2021 school year, it is essential to look back at all the outstanding accomplishments of this strong school community despite the many challenges of COVID-19. After three months of around-the-clock preparations, we successfully opened our school to all our students on September 1st. Our reopening plan was no simple feat and required a dedicated and collaborative team of parents, teachers, staff, and members of the Board of Limited Jurisdiction giving up their summer and weekends to ensure the mission of SSPP would continue. For the everyday activities in school to take place, we had to stretch our imagination and plan for everything under new health guidelines. Together we surpassed our expectations. With determination and the support of the parents of SSPP, we continued to provide our students with in-person learning because we believe in the great importance of Catholic education.

Significant challenges help us to understand, in an even more profound way, that God’s mercy and goodness can be found in the simple things and especially in the people we encounter each day. It allowed us to see life in a new way that we had not viewed before and renewed our appreciation of all God has given us. Together we faced many challenges we never thought possible, and through it all, we carried each other through this year and have now found ourselves on the other side stronger, more grateful, and with a clearer understanding of God’s grace and love. This amazing school community came together to make the impossible possible for the students of Saints Peter and Paul.

I want to express my gratitude to Monsignor Citino, Father Monica, SSPP parents, school staff, Board of Limited Jurisdiction, Home and School Association, CCIU support teachers, teacher aides, our teachers, administrative team, school nurses, and parishioners.

I look to the 2021-2022 school year with hope, excitement, and joy as we celebrate our 20th year as a Catholic school! We look forward to seeing our students and parents on August 31st for an incredible school year. I pray for all of us to have a relaxing and safe summer! May God continue to bless us.

With sincere appreciation for this incredible community,
Mrs. Chandler, Principal
