Good June my friends,

Communication, Collaboration, Commitment, Focus, and Engagement - These are the tenets that set organizations and people up for success in any endeavor.

I am both pleased and excited that the Regional Associations of District One have come together in the spirit of harmony and collaboration to bring you the POWER of ONE Show Week in January 2022 (Details below). It may seem like a long way off, but nothing could be further from the truth. Just think, we are now halfway through 2021, and Q3 is right around the corner.

As mentioned in previous correspondence, your board has made a commitment to be more proactive moving forward. This means getting things done early so you have time to plan, doing more of the things you want done so you have better communication and engagement with the membership, and collaborating with individuals and organizations so we bring the VERY BEST of the BEST together so you have the best experience possible.

We are focused and we will continue to be moving forward.

Thank you to all who participated in or donated to
the Doggy Dash for Fidos for Freedom!

The Fidos For Freedom Doggy Dash Virtual Run which was held from 3/1 - 5/25/21 was a huge success! 29 racers covered 2,429.34 miles and raised over $10,000 for surgical and rehab costs that will benefit the service dogs.

Prizes were distributed to the participants on Sunday, June 6th in Laurel, MD. As you can see by the below pictures, a great time was had by everyone!

PCNA Expands Technology Lineup by Launching Bose Products
Pittsburg PA - Polyconcept North America (PCNA) is excited to announce the addition of Bose, the leaders of sound innovation, to their industry-leading technology lineup. PCNA now offer select Bluetooth® speakers, which are stocked in-house at PCNA’s Pittsburgh warehouse and are available for quick turn through the company’s SureShip® service.

When asked about their newest retail brand, Liz Haesler, Chief Merchandising Officer for PCNA explains, “This is about more than just offering products from one of the greatest sound companies in the world, it’s about making sure our customers can rely on PCNA for all their needs. Bose is a brand known around the globe for their unmatched sound quality and PCNA is known in the industry for our dedication to technology and product safety, with an entire team in place who works solely on this product category,” Haesler continues. “We are extremely honored to offer Bose products as part of our tech assortment.”

“It gives us great pleasure to align with PCNA to bring a selection of Bose speakers to the promotional products market,” according to a representative of Bose’s authorized distributor for corporate gifts and incentives. “We are a company that prides ourselves on representing Bose for corporate gifts, incentives and rewards. In talking with the PCNA tech team, we understand that they share those same values through both product development and decoration. We have full trust in them to bring these products to promo.”

By housing Bose inventory at their warehouse, PCNA can accommodate large orders through both inventory and their best-in-class decorating capacity. Better yet, by inventorying products on-site, PCNA will be able to accommodate quick-turn orders through their SureShip service so customer orders can ship out next-day if needed.

“We have also received feedback from customers that a brand like Bose would be a great addition to our Perfectly Packaged™ offering,” Haesler mentions. “A brand as recognizable and sought after as Bose makes a great gift on its own but we love that we can take it one step further by having an option to pair a Bose speaker with other PCNA items for a custom gift set that can be drop shipped right to people’s homes.”

Hear Notable Industry Leaders And 2019 PPB Rising Star
At PPAI Women's Leadership Conference Direct-2-You?

This year’s WLC D2U virtual conference will feature a power-packed lineup of speakers including industry veteran Jo-an Lantz, MAS, and PPB Rising Star Kate Alavez. 

Lantz, president and CEO of Lewiston, Maine-based distributor Geiger, will be the opening speaker at WLC D2U with her session “Dream It. Make It Happen,” in which she will share what it takes to achieve dreams and how leadership makes all the difference. During her distinguished career in the promotional products industry, Lantz has served on the PPAI Board of Directors, including a term as board chair, and helped found the PPAI Women's Leadership Conference. She was inducted into the PPAI Hall Of Fame in 2009 and has been named ASI’s Woman of Distinction, International Person of the Year and 2020 Counselor Person of the Year. 

Alavez, chief operating officer of Los Angeles, California-based distributor PromoShop, Inc., will delve into strategies to help listeners manage their teams through inclusive leadership in her session “Talent Matters: Strategies For A People-Centered Team.” On a mission to reimagine the relationship between employees and their employers, she is focused on creating outside-the-box solutions to business challenges and creating synergies between team members as a means to a happier workplace. In 2019, Alavez was named one of 14 PPB Rising Stars.

PPAI’s Women’s Leadership Conference Direct-2-You will be held June 21-23. The event is open to all industry women looking for a different level of engagement in a virtual space where they can learn from and celebrate the work of phenomenal women who are at the forefront of shaping the promotional products industry.
