“I can't thank you enough for all the support and help you have provided me. I am so glad I answered your call that day. You made me realize that there is hope in my life and showed me a path to get out of this toxic relationship. My sincere thank you.”

- Narika Client

Dear Narika Community,

We hope that this letter finds you safe and healthy. Thank you for upholding Narika throughout this year of change as we open our doors and shed light on the unseen shadows and inequalities brought by the pandemic. For many of our survivors, it has been a year of much change, much difficulty, but also much hope.

Thank you for your part in this journey. Whether it was reaching out to us to express support, donating generously, referring a survivor for help, attending our events, or volunteering with us. All of these efforts weave together and unite us all in the face of unprecedented levels of violence. Every small part in this movement that you take is a critical step in supporting Narika’s ability to serve survivors and help them realize their dreams.

This year, Narika supported 788 helpline calls and provided over 3500 counseling sessions. 445 participants joined our job training, wellness and support group programs. We also supported our clients with free legal & housing assistance, food assistance, and technology abuse awareness.

On average, it costs $5000 to cover the needs of one Narika client for an entire year, including free counseling, job training, emergency shelter and more. In 2021, we witnessed an 86% increase in clients served year over year. This is the highest number of cases we have ever seen in our 30 year history.

Please make a year-end donation today to Narika to provide crucial services for survivors of domestic violence. You can donate online at the link below or send a check to Narika at PO Box 1708 Fremont, CA 94538.

This holiday season, please take advantage of the CARES Act “universal charitable deduction” rule, which encourages charitable giving by allowing individuals to deduct donations directly from your income. On Giving Tuesday, millions of people worldwide take the time to consider how they want their dollars to impact those in-need. We hope that you will take advantage of this moment and support our survivors.

Our Narika Family is grateful for your support in ensuring our communities are safe and well.
