A Letter from the Director...

Happy June, Library Friends!

It is the library's birthday!  The Memorial Library of Nazareth and Vicinity is celebrating 70 years of providing information resources and quality services and programming to Nazareth and its surrounding communities.  The library is planning "MLNV through the Decades" which will take place on the evenings of June 1 -4.  This celebration is possible through the generosity of community sponsored monetary and in-kind donations.  Join us for four super fun evenings of activities.  Look for more details in this newsletter.

After celebrating 70 years, we will kick off another amazing 8-week long Summer Reading Program, "Tales and Tails."  The library staff is planning special speakers, guest appearances by some animal friends, programs that inspire creativity, and lectures that recap history.  The library staff will be offering programming on location at all four of our supporting municipalities.  Please check the library website for more information @ www.nazarethlibrary.org.

Happy Summer Everyone!

See you at the library!

Low-Waste Living Conversations and Events
Did you know...
In one year, trees in the U.S. absorb over 35,000,000,000 pounds of air pollution.
The average American creates nearly 5 pounds of trash every day.
Nearly 2/3 of what we use ends up in the trash!
Buildings can earn awards for being "green" - and there's one nearby!
