News from the Downtown Alliance

A note from the president

Friends,

I'll keep things brief today as the long weekend, and a certain hockey game, inch toward us.

We're excited to share the #WelcomeBackStPL event calendar this week. This calendar is where we'll keep all the latest news and updates for events, activations and celebrations happening around downtown in the coming months (including the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra next week!). We're still stirring up lots more yet-to-announced events so be sure to check back regularly. Each week we'll also keep you in the loop about what's coming up soon. More on that below.

This past week, I achieved maximum inoculation (two week’s after my second shot), and it feels great. If you haven’ yet taken the plunge, there is now an extra incentive. Earlier this week Governor Walz announced a number of incentives for those who have not yet received their shot.

Some fun coverage this week - if you haven't seen this video from WCCO yet, give it a watch. I know I can't be the only who would love a bird's eye view of downtown from our most iconic landmark and this comes pretty close.

Finally, a quick thanks to Mayor Carter for mentioning the Downtown Alliance as partners in the Welcome Back campaign during yesterday's State of the City Address. We're happy to the support of the City along with our private sector partners as we reopen our downtown together.

That's it from me, keep reading and enjoy the long weekend. Go Wild!
