New Head of School Paul Fisher Joins ECA Today
In this truly remarkable time in history, Head of School Paul Fisher joins the Eden Family. Paul isn't able to meet you in the hallways and at activities we would normally be enjoying at this time of year.

Don't miss this opportunity to connect with Paul through his heartfelt video message of encouragement to you and his vision for Eden Christian Academy.
Paul can be reached at pfisher@edenca.org .
A Message from Mrs. Bordo
Dear Wexford Families,

Even though Mother’s Day looked a little different this year for many of us, I hope that all our mothers were celebrated and appreciated . We are truly thankful for ALL you do!

As the weather becomes warmer and spring is in full bloom, children naturally begin to focus on school ending and summer vacation. If that is true when children are in school, it may be doubly true with Remote Learning. Here are a few ideas to help students stay focused through the end of the year and finish strong.

  1. Create a Designated Learning Space. It is important to find a specific space with limited distractions where parents can help monitor their child’s learning.
  2. Establish a schedule. Routine and structure are very helpful for children. Whatever schedule works for your family, try to maintain that schedule daily.
  3. Communicate your expectations. Let your child know the night before what is expected for the following day's work. Less surprises lead to fewer meltdowns.
  4. Submit Work. Be sure you (or your child) sends in work daily. Establish a time of day for submitting work before you wrap up the day’s Remote Learning.
  5. Reach out for Help. Let your child’s teacher know if your child is struggling with understanding a concept or work completion. The further behind a student gets, the more frustrated they will become.

We are all facing challenges. And, we all need to encourage one another, stay strong, and give our best through the end of the school year. Hebrews 12 is a great reminder to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus. He will help us finish the race set before us!

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.  Hebrews 12:1-2a

Have a great week!

Remote Learning Parent Survey
While we work in partnership with you through Remote Learning, we want to evaluate and improve . Your valuable input will help us assess the effectiveness of various aspects of the Remote Learning plan.

If you have not already done so, will you respond to the Remote Learning Parent Survey and tell us about your child's experience?

You can complete the survey for the campus your child attends by clicking the button below.

  • If you have children at more than one campus, please complete one survey per campus.

  • If you have more than one child at a campus and feel their experience varies, you may complete a survey describing each child's experience.

The survey closes at midnight tonight, May 11.
Thank you for taking time to provide your valuable feedback. We appreciate it!
Elementary Online Chapel
Meeting together changed for all of us in March. Practicing what makes Eden special remains the same.

Our May 6 elementary online chapel challenged us to think about what we are thankful for . We are thankful that we can still connect with our wonderful students and families. Enjoy the worship, a special message from an ECA student, a song from our Veggie Tale friends, thoughts about thankfulness and contentment, and a peek at what Leo is up to!
Upper School Online Chapel
We're all thinking about the future and what that will look like for our families.

Today, our ECA upper school students are poised to become the next Christian leaders in colleges, businesses, ministries, military service, the Arts, and missions.

Be encouraged by these ECA students' expressions of faith in the May 6 online upper school chapel. Seniors in the Class of 2020 started it off with a message for all our moms. The community challenge was delivered by Elijah, an ECA junior , who communicated a powerful truth that's a great word for the whole school. Immediately following, Jessica led worship . Lastly, Eden alumna, Anju, brought the Word through verses in Psalm 46.
Important ECA Calendar Announcements

End of Year Drop-Off & Pick-Up

We are happy to share plans for the June 4 Drop-Off & Pick-Up Day drive-through for parents to drop off Eden materials that your children have at home (textbooks, iPad and charger, library books, etc.) and pick-up your child’s school supplies, belongings, art work, etc.

Here are the details for June 4.

  • June 4, 8:30-11:30 | Drop-off & Pick-up for students with last names A-L.

  • June 4, 12:00 - 3:00 | Drop-off & Pick-up for students with last names M-Z.

  • Simply place all Eden materials in a bag labeled with your child's first & last name and grade written in sharpie marker on the outside.

  • There will be an outdoor drop-off & pick-up drive-through in the parking lot. Wexford staff members will be posted in lanes that will be identified by the letter of the student’s last name.

  • Parents can pull into the designated lane and Eden staff (with masks and gloves) will load your child’s belongings and receive your bag of Eden materials.

If you are unable to drop-off and pick-up on June 4, there will be alternative on June 5 from 9:00-12:00. An area will be designated just inside the Wexford Campus doors to drop-off and pick-up materials. Please have drop-off materials in a bag labeled with your child's first & last name and grade written in sharpie marker on the outside.

We continue to monitor stay-at-home regulations and we will update you if changes to the end-of-year plans are needed.
