Spotlight: CDC Travel Notice and U.S. Travel Advisory
The CDC removed their Global Level 3 travel notice and has provided country by country travel notices. Most countries remain a Warning Level 3 - Avoid Nonessential Travel.

The US Department of State Travel Advisory also removed its US Department of State Global Level 4 Health Advisory and returned to a country by country rating.

The new ratings will provide us and travelers with country-specific COVID-19 information on the CDC and Travel Advisory sites.

**Note: With the COVID-19 pandemic remaining fluid, cases will likely rise and fall over the next several months in countries around the world and these CDC and Travel Advisory ratings may fluctuate accordingly. The U-M COVID-19 Travel Restriction remains in effect as a global travel restriction.

"This document was initially directed at ways for how to turn fieldwork that was initially planned as using face-to-face methods into a more ‘hands-off’ mode. However, people have added useful material about ‘born digital’ research (content already generated on the internet by online interactions), which provides an alternative source of social research materials if researchers decide to go down that path."
