Dear Blacksmith Family:

Good evening. Westlake Academy is committed to providing the best academic instruction for your students. At this time, we are asking parents and guardians to make their instructional delivery choice for their student(s). This selection will take effect the first day of in-person school (Monday, 9/21) through the end of the first grading period (Friday, 10/9).

Please acquaint yourselves with the instructional delivery options based upon the grade level of your students:

  • In person learning: 100% on campus learning with social distancing and safety protocols in place. Students will be required to wear masks in all grades. This option is available to students in grades K-8

  • Remote learning: 100% remote learning with a combination of live instruction (synchronous) and self-paced learning (asynchronous). This option is available to students in grades K-12.

  • Hybrid learning: High school students will be divided into two cohorts and will have in-person instruction 50% of the time and remote learning (asynchronous) 50% of the time. This option is available to students in grades 9-12.

For detailed information , visit the Academic Protocols page on our website.

Please click here to make your selection(s). You will need to complete this form for each of your students. This form will be open through 5 pm, Monday, August 10th. If we do not receive your selection and your students are in grades K-8, we will slot your students for in-person/on-campus learning. If we do not receive your selection and your students are in grades 9-12, we will slot your students for hybrid learning.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this as it will enable us to effectively plan for the first day of in-person school on Monday, September 21st. We want you to know how much we appreciate your continued partnership.

Sincerely,
Dr. Mechelle Bryson
